I was born in february 1975 and from a very young age I always had faith in something bigger than me. I had a desire to change things for the better so that I could become an example. I wanted to become a nurse.
It was in 2005, I went back to school and graduated as an Auxiliary Nurse in 2007. At the time, I wanted to acquire as much experience as possible in order to be able to support as many people as possible. So, I decided to work with placement agencies across Quebec. They allowed me to broaden my knowledge and my fields of expertise in the field of sampling.
These agencies have also allowed me to have a good balance in life in order to be able to reconcile work and family, which has always been very important to me, to be present for my children.
2014, I moved to the Lower Laurentian’s and made my debut for a brand new agency (X which I will keep anonymous out of respect).
In 2015, after certain cuts in the hospital environment and knowing my skills in sampling, my superior suggested that I participate in the idea of offering a brand new:” Blood collection services” offered in pharmacies. At the time, we had 1 pharmacy and we served about fifty customers per month. We quickly noticed a growing need for this type of service (given the significant congestion for public services). And our deep desire to help an increasingly sick population. I then developed a well-defined work structure as well as the planning of the training available for members of the pharmaceutical staff in order to be able to support customers in their various needs. And a few years later, we had the privilege of being able to offer our services to several thousand people with increasingly growing health needs.
Throughout these years, I have worked closely with an extraordinary team that has supported me in times of my life when I was completely helpless. It was during a forced sick leave following cancer that an important change took place: Closure of the Agency and end of our activities announced on July 31, 2022.
It is thank’s to the support of my colleagues, their loyalty and their dedication to me as well as the encouragement of my spouse that in May 2022, I took the entrepreneur training course with Entreprenariat Quebec. This allowed me to be able to give birth to a “surprised baby” and founded SPÉCIMEN Santé inc., on August 1, 2022. With the vision of becoming THE reference in Quebec for blood samples.
